Cornelia Ackers Germany

 

After completing her doctorate in philosophy, Cornelia Ackers initially worked as a dramaturge and actress at various theaters in german-speaking countries.

From there she moved to the public broadcasters, where she held a leading position as commissioning editor. She supervised both well-known television formats and cinema films in germany and abroad, which ran in competition in Cannes, Venice and Locarno, for example, where they received several awards.

She also teaches continuously at various film schools She now lives in Berlin as a creative producer, co-author and coach for film companies.






Lamia Fathy Egypt - Germany




A freelance film critic and film programmer based in Berlin. Studied drama and criticism in Cairo and participated in several trainings and workshops on physical theatre and filmmaking.

FIPRESCI member and part of its editorial team. Acted as deputy artistic director at the Cairo International Film Critics Week (CIFCW) and was a jury member in a number of film festivals, including Berlinale, Oberhausen, World Cinema Award in Amsterdam and Bergwelten in Switzerland.



 

Ahmet Tas Germany

 

Ahmet Tas is a Berlin - based film director. He achieved initial success with the so - called documusical “Apple & Egg” (2007), which screened at over 160 international film festivals and was praised as “a stylistic experiment as well as a declaration of love to the vibrant immigrant culture.” Hereafter Tas directed “Brot” (2011) starring Angela Winkler and Bruno Ganz based on the story by Wolfgang Borchert. Both works received multiple national and international awards.

In the following years Tas continued to work on full-length features. In addition he shoots a documentary, a long-term study of street musicians. A particular focus of his work lies in uncovering and illuminating structural racism and systematic injustice. His most elaborate feature film project “Real Fight” is currently being completed.

Besides his engagements as a producer, screenwriter, and director, over the decades Tas has been providing professional support to actors on their way to the most authentic performances.
